Good win for Seneschalstown

A GAA club in Co. Roscommon will attempt to break the world record for holding the biggest Gaelic football training session next weekend.

Padraig Pearses will seek to gain entry to the Guinness Book of Records at their club grounds in Woodmount, which is just off the old main Dublin-Galway Road between Athlone and Ballinasloe, on Saturday, August 22 at 5pm. RTE presenter Marty Morrissey will act as MC for the attempt, which is being sponsored by Hogarty's Flooring & DIY.

The current record is held by Louth club Roche Emmett's, who had a whopping 1,204 participants in their attempt.
