This weekend sees the start of the Roscommon senior hurling championship.
Following the success of the inter-county hurlers in winning the Nicky Rackard Cup earlier this year, hurling has received a much needed boost in the county.
There is great interest ahead of this weekend's fixtures as seven teams battle it out for the county title.
Four Roads begin their quest for an eighth consecutive county title as they take on Padraig Pearses at Athleague on Sunday at 12pm.
Athleague is the venue for the meeting of Tremane and Roscommon Gaels also on Sunday and this one throws in at 7.30pm.
There is one game in Group B at the weekend and it sees Athleague host Oran on Sunday at 6pm.
