Shannon Gaels club notes

Minor: The fundraising table quiz for Kilmore/Shannon Gaels amalgamated teams took place last Thursday night.  Thank you to all who took part and supported the quiz and to anyone who helped out on the night.  Many thanks also to those who gave spot prizes. Our U14 team were narrowly defeated on Thursday evening last by St. Ciarans.  The minors had a comfortable victory over St. Dominics in Knockcrockery 1-4 to 2-10.  Kilmore/Shannon Gaels U16 play Tulsk this Tuesday evening in Tulsk.  A reminder that our Easter Camp takes place this Wednesday 8th  to Friday the 10th April.  There are still a few places available, please contact Tracey on 0862441985 to confirm your childs place.

Lotto: Lotto results from Glancys on Saturday 28th March.  Nos drawn 9,10,16,17.  There was no winner, 20 euro winners, John O'Dowd Croghan, Zoe O'Callaghan Gardenstown, Emma Flanagan Croghan, Mick Dunne Boyle Rd, Aisling McDermott Croghan Rd.  Next draw in Gings , jackpot 3,050.

The club congratulates James, Michael and the Roscommon U21s on winning the Connacht Final on Saturday last,  and also to the senior team on achieving promotion to Division 1.


Ladies:

Well done to the Roscommon u14s who beat Leitrim at the weekend.

The Intermediate Ladies got their second win in the league with a 6-8 to 2-8 victory over St Marys on Sunday. The game was in the balance at half time but 3 second half goals by Aishling mc Dermott secured victory. Scorers were Aishling McDermott 5-0, Tess Murtagh 1-1, Sorcha Bruen 0-3, Emma O Beirne 0-2, Sile O Dowd 0-1, Aine O Dowd 0-1. Thanks to Patricia Beirne for providing the refreshments after the game.

The Shannon Gaels U16 ladies will play Elphin at 7pm on Tuesday in Croghan.  The Minor and U 16 Roscommon Ladies will play Sligo on Saturday in Kilglass at 4pm and 6pm respectively. Best of luck to all teams.Hard luck to our five Shannon Gaels girls and the Roscommon Minor girls who were beaten by Galway at the weekend.

Congratulations to Deano and the Roscommon U21s on winning the Connacht final on Saturday.
