Eire Og club notes

February 16, 2015

Hard luck to the St Croan's club who were unlucky on Saturday evening last in the All Ireland Intermediate Final. A fine crowd travelled from the area to support our neighbours in Croke Park and hopefully we might be there ourselves sometime soon.

Our under 16 team started their league season on Sunday in the first round of the league competition. We had a comfortable win over Padraig Pearses in a good competitive game at James Timothy Park. We play Strokestown in Strokestown next Sunday morning.

The ladies Intermediate team lost their first outing in the league when they were beaten by Western Gaels in the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence on Sunday.

There was no winner of our club lotto. Numbers drawn were 8-10-14-29 One €100 winning ticket with 3 numbers Mena, Sam and family. Winners of the €20 lucky dip were Brendan Deeney, Tom Gallagher, Pat Nee. Next week's jackpot is €6900. Next draw will be in Creatons Loughglynn on Saturday night.

The Roscommon Ladies Gaelic Football Association are holding what should be an interesting fundraiser in the Trinity Arts Centre Castlerea on Thursday and Friday Night the 26th and 27th February at 8-30pm. They host the Seamus O Rourke play Padraig Potts Guide to Walking, tickets are just €15 and are available from Seamus Maher on 087 8115484.

A Club meeting will be held on Wednesday 18th February at 8.30 pm in the clubhouse.
