David Griffin's 20th minute goal sent Ardfert on their way to a comfortable victory over St. Croan's in this evening's All-Ireland club IFC at Croke Park.

Leading by 1-6 to 0-3 at the break, Ardfert extended their advantage in the second half to complete a Kerry double, with Brosna having captured the All-Ireland club JFC crown earlier in the day. It was the men in black's second All-Ireland intermediate title in eight years, while they also won the junior equivalent in 2006.

The only blot on their copybook today was a straight red card for Jerry Wallace in the closing stages. The team captain didn't start the game, but was introduced early in the second quarter.

Kevin Smyth kicked St. Croan's in front straight from the throw-in, but it was the only time the Roscommon champions led as Ardfert gradually took control.Griffin added a point immediately after his goal as the Kerry men took a commanding lead into the interval.

They extended their advantage to nine points after the restart with Damien Wallace and the outstanding Griffin finishing as joint top-scorers with 0-6 (0-3 from frees) and 1-3 (all from play) respectively.
