Roscommon manager John Evans has stressed that the county must build on this year's performances.
Speaking at the Club Rossie Gala Awards night, the Kerry native stated that they must move on from this year and he also had a special word for the under-21 squad that lost this year's All-Ireland final.
"Since I've arrived here I've seen the passion that's put in by everybody in Roscommon. And for the first time that passion is being harnessed under the one umbrella. We badly needed Club Rossie to bring us all together, to go in the one direction with a group of lads and lassies.
"We've set our stall out. We want to go to Croke Park and be up with the best. To the wonderful young lads on the under-21s, on the day it didn't happen for you in the final but you brought wonderful cheer to the county. We're moving forward in the right direction. The competition for places is enormous. Now you have club secretaries ringing asking to have a look at players."
