Men Of 64.
The Shannon Gaels Senior County champions of 1964 were honoured  on the 50th anniversary of the occasion with a dinner party last sat night in the Bush hotel,
A wonderful night was had by all. Thanks to all in the bush for looking after everyone so well.
The team were also  made very welcome to the Hyde park on county final day on Sunday and they  were  presented to the crowd at half time. Thanks to everyone in Hyde Park and to the Roscommon Co Board for their support & Kindness .Full report and pictures will appear next week.
Play: The Club are delighted to be hosting Seamus O'Rourke new play 'Padraig Potts Guide to Walking' on Saturday 1st Nov at 8.30 in Patican Hall Cortober.  Tickets priced at €10.00 this promises to be a great nights
entertainment.  You can get your tickets in Cryans, Mulligans or off any member of the club.
Underage:Well done to the Under 10's who produced some wonderful displays to reach the A final in the Kilglass tournament. However the team ran out of steam in the final going down to St Michaels. The players involved were Andrew Gannon, Aaron Taylor, Ben McMorrow, Conan Fitzpatrick, Jamie & Callum Corcoran, Joseph McGrath, Luke Molloy, Conor Creighton, Kealan Devaney,  Ryan O'Dowd, Oisin O' Dowd, Stephen Murray,
Nursery Programme for 4-6 year olds will start on Friday 7th November in complex from 6 - 7pm.
Lotto: Lotto results from the 16th October, numbers drawn 11,26,27,28.  There was no winner of jackpot. €20 winners Brian Gibney c/o Gings, Mary Simons c/o Cryans, Anthony Shannon Ballinameen, Teresa O'Connor Ballinagare, Larry O'Beirne Knockarush.  Next draw in Glancys 30th October.  Jackpot now €2,450.

Ladies:
Congratulations to our intermediate ladies who won the Intermediate Shield on Saturday evening in Boyle. They defeated the home side on a score line of Shannon Gaels 2-8 to Boyle's 2-5. Aided by the wind in the first half the girls trailed by one point at half time but a flawless display in the second half of quality football and determination coupled with two well executed goals from full forward and player of the match,  Aishling Mc Dermott, sealed victory.

Team - Aisling Egan, Martina Hanly, Clodagh Corrigan, Linda Duignan, Ceara Noone, Niamh O Beirne, Aideen Filan, Tess Murtagh, Sile O Dowd, Orla Glancy, Ruth O Hart, Sorcha Bruen (0-6), Mairead O Dowd (0-1), Aishling Mc Dermott (2-1), Niamh Flanagan, Ciara Devane, Shauna Burke, Caoimhe O Dowd.

County Board secretary Marie Mc Aleer presented team captain Sile O Dowd with the shield. A big thanks to the management team of Declan, Gerry and Deano for their dedication and commitment during the year, and also to James Egan for his time and efforts invested. We now look forward to the 2015 Intermediate Championship.

Congratulations to Niamh Flanagan who celebrated her 21st on Saturday and to the Flanagan family for their hospitality to the players and management on Saturday night.

Earlier on Saturday our U14 girls suffered an agonising defeat in the championship county final when they were defeated by Eire Og on a score line of 2-4 to 1-4. Team - Zoe O Callaghan, Mary Collins, Hannah O Dowd, Chloe O Dowd, Shauna Murtagh, Emer Feely, Aisling Cryan, Orla Mullaney (0-1), Caitlin Surlis, Ellen Collins, Ellis Conway (1-3), Seonna Devaney, Lisa Burke, Emer Burke , Aibhe Cryan,  Sarah Marie Lynch, Orla O Dowd,  Alesha Cassidy, Gemma Hickey, Sophia O Dowd, Sarah Carty, Kathlyn Gannon. Huge credit to the management team of Linda, Alan, Charlie and Tracey for their coaching and development with this group of players taking them to the League and Championship final in 2014.

Shannon Gaels Ladies church gate collection in Cortober will be this Sunday October 26th.  The club would like to thank everyone who contributed to the collection held in Croghan and Drumlion on the weekend of the 11th /12th October.
