The September club executive meeting takes place in the O'Rourke Centre on Tuesday 9th September at 9pm, please note change of night. The senior team play Western Gael's in the championship quarter final in Hyde Park next Sunday at 3-45pm. We ask the people of the parish to come to Hyde Park to support the team. The minor team were defeated by Tulsk on Sunday last; they play Michael Glavey's next Friday evening in O'Rourke Park. The u14 girls were defeated by Boyle last week, their next game is away to Kilbride. Our Gaelic for mother's team had an enjoyable challenge with Kilmore last week. They are training hard for an upcoming blitz in Dublin in October. Commiserations to Claire Raftery and the Roscommon ladies intermediate team who were defeated by Fermannagh in the All-Ireland semi-final last Saturday in Longford, but it has been a marvellous year for Claire and the team. Best of luck to Hugh Rooney, Joseph Henry and the Roscommon u21 hurling panel in the All-Ireland final against Kildare next Saturday in Thurles. For anyone unable to attend the game it is on live on TG4. There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €7,100 on Friday 05th September. Numbers drawn on the night were 17, 18, 20 and 35. €50 winners on the night were Tom O Connor, Helen Naughton, Deirdre Canty and Andy Creaton.
