Scór

This is the 50th Anniversary of Scór and Coiste Cultúr & Scór RosComáin is keen to ensure that Roscommon is well represented in this years competitions.  We are proposing to hold the Scór Sinsir county final at the end of February 2019, as the Scór Sinsir Connacht Final is set for Sunday, 10th March 2019.

Scór is the GAA’s competition which supports the traditional aspects of Irish culture and promotes participation, enjoyment and inclusion at all levels within the Club.  Scór Sinsir is specifically for all GAA Club members, aged 17 and over as of the 1st January 2018, who may represent their Club in at least one of the following eight disciplines: Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Recitation, Ballad Group, Question Time, Drama (Léiriú Stáitse) and Set Dancing.

The Scór Sinir “Tráth na gCeist” (Quiz) will be run in a Table Quiz format.  Each club may enter up to two teams to the County Final, the winner of the County Final Table Quiz will qualify to represent Roscommon in the All Ireland Final in Castlebar, Co Mayo, on Saturday, 13th April 2019.

Every Club has members who can sing, dance, act, or take part in a quiz team, and we sincerely hope that your Club will participate this year.  If you would like any support from us in helping to get your Club on board please get in touch.

We will be in further touch with you to confirm dates and venues for the Couny final, but could I ask you all to get started!!!

Any queries and/or entries may be forwarded by email to [email protected] -please don't hesitate to get in touch!
