Roscommon GAA is nearly €1 million better off thanks to the success of its house raffle.

Club Rossie sold over 14,000 tickets at €100 each as the raffle for the new three-bed house in Dublin 15 raised just over €1.4 million. Built by Sean Mulryan, who is the main sponsor of Roscommon GAA, the house in Royal Canal Park, Ashtown is valued at €425,000, leaving Roscommon GAA with a profit of €943,400 once the house is paid for. The lucky winner was Kumar Gangah, an Indian software engineer who lives in Lucan.

Tickets were sold in every county in Ireland as well as in 26 different countries. Most of the tickets were sold online.

Roscommon GAA intends spending the money on upgrading Dr Hyde Park and on the new Dermot Earley Centre of Excellence in Runnabracken.
