St Brigid’s manager Frankie Dolan was pleased to see his side get over the line against Strokestown in last weekend’s county SFC semi-final.
The old saying that semi finals are for winning was never more adapt as the game itself wasn’t of the highest standard, but the Kiltoom outfit came out the right side of the result.
Now, they face neighbours Clann na Gael in the county final, but for the moment, Dolan is just relieved to be there once again.
“Every game is about winning. The players in our dressingroom deserve huge credit - the likes of Senan and Ian Kilbride, Garvan Dolan and the older lads. We’ve lost ten players from last year’s county final squad,” Dolan told the Roscommon Herald.
“There’s a lot of experience gone. It’s a huge testament to the likes of the experienced lads still left to be driving it on. It was great to see the likes of Ciaran Sugrue, coming in, a young minor for us.”
