Sean Cavanagh was a proud man after watching Tyrone banish 'the ghosts of Ballybofey' and book an All-Ireland semi-final ticket in fine style...
Breathless! Couldn't be prouder. The ghosts of Ballybofey are banished...Harry is a goal machine #DONvTYR

I wonder if Éamonn Fitzmaurice recognises this writing. A Kerry fan once sent one to me. I must say, I was quite emotional #fanmail pic.twitter.com/UYnFu5SRgl

Isn't it wonderful that the team that comes out on top in a fiercely contested affair are always the fitter side, had more in the legs bla bla bla. Had a lot more to it than fitness. Brennan a silky baller #DONvTYR
- Mark Poland (@polie11) August 5, 2018
I wouldn't be a fan of Tyrone's style. I much rather more direct football but that was an unbelievable last 20 mins from them. Their fitness & intensity in the tackle was outstanding. 2.17 registered.

@collykid2 has been excellent today. The heartbeat of the Tyrone team, turning ball over in defense, fetching ball after ball in midfield and setting up attacks. Focused, determined, relentless. #DONvTYR #GAA #Super8s

Brennan has come on and took this game by the scruff of the neck. Brilliant performance.

The boys in the RTE studio saying Tyrone pushed out and changed the way they were playing. What a load a crap. Played the exact same way but much better. Saying that they pushed up man to man pic.twitter.com/cvctkeCpmI

Some roar for this man when he took to the pitch, even if his appearance was brief! #UpTheDubs pic.twitter.com/7bOJX15FHI

Delighted to see my pal @bernardbrogan getting back on the field after his lay off. To be back for this date shows incredible hard work and dedication only a winner knows these traits. https://t.co/OYXNkNWC1G pic.twitter.com/YfU7Rb0v4I

Delighted for Malachy O'Rourke and @monaghangaa. That's some turnaround from disappointment of the Ulster semi final.
- Mickey Donnelly (@MickeyD1973) August 4, 2018
Has anyone told Malachy O'Rourke the Down job is available yet?

Clare will look back with regret on their shooting,19 wides & some from crazy angles. Galway showed why they are champions. Great resilience when Clare scored the goals but only scored 4 points from play in 2nd half. Padraic Mannion HOTY in waiting, immense again today. #GALVCLA
- Shane McGrath (@Shaneytweet) August 5, 2018
Outside of a teams mental/physical prep, how a team is set up, use of possession and puck out strategies are 3 of the most vital components of the game. Galway nailed all 3 in the first half and was the platform for their win.

Johnny Glynn what a goal! Absolute beast!!! #ClareVGal #Gaa

With heavy heart we announce that our Manager Éamonn Fitzmaurice has stepped down. We cannot thank @efitz6 enough for all he has done for Kerry GAA. He is a gentleman to the core and has given everything for the cause. We wish Éamonn and his family all the best
- Kerry GAA (@Kerry_Official) August 4, 2018
Eamonn Fitzmaurice has always been a class act on the field of play and in his time as manager of @Kerry_Official . He will be missed on the county scene. A lot of young managers could learn quite a lot from him.
- Steven McDonnell (@StevenMcD13) August 5, 2018
Word has it that eamon fitzmaurice has stepped down. He certainly owes kerry football nothing... his contribution as a player and manager was outstanding
- Vinnie Murphy (@Vinniedub14) August 4, 2018
The problem for Eamonn fitzmaurice is that he doesn't do cute hoorism. He's a man who manages exactly how he played it. Straight, honest, tough and with absolutely no time for bull. He's brought KERRY threw a difficult transition period & the next man in will benefit from that
- Anthony Moyles (@moylesiea) August 4, 2018
Too little too late for Kerry. Great win by Monaghan. Didn't see that coming. It might be at Kerry's expense but that's the punch of the super 8s. Kerry can only blame themselves. Galway have a tricky one next week Monaghan how a performance can change a year!!!!

Congrats @KildareGAA U/20s, All Ireland champions. What a result!! Well done to all players and management. The future is white and bright!!

Fantastic win for Kildare under 20's. Some brilliant footballers in that group. Hopefully we can see them make the step up to the Senior ranks. Congrats to the team and management on a great achievement.
