Roscommon's hopes of retaining the Connacht SFC title have suffered a blow with the news that Sean Mullooly will be spending the summer in the US.
Manager Kevin McStay confirmed after today's Connacht FBD League final against Galway that the powerfully-built 22-year-old Strokestown clubman, who manned the centre back position last year, won't be available for this year's championship.
Mullooly didn't feature at Dr Hyde Park today where the Rossies denied Galway a three-in-a-row of FBD League titles thanks to a last-gasp 2-16 to 3-12 victory.
