Big ball code takes centre stage

This weekend sees plenty of football action take place in the Offaly senior and intermediate championships.

The intermediate final between Erin Rovers and Ferbane is the game that takes centre as O'Connor Park, Tullamore hosts this clash on Saturday afternoon.

This is the first of an intriguing triple header of games with the two senior football championship quarterfinals being played after the IFC decider.

The intermediate final throws in at 2.30pm and this will be followed by the meeting of Edenderry and Clara in the senior quarterfinal at 4.15pm.

Then at 5.45pm, its the turn of Tullamore and Gracefield to battle it out for a place in the last four. Edenderry and Tullamore are the teams tipped to go through.

In the SFC relegation play off, Cappincur and St Rynagh's do battle to avoid the drop and their clash takes place in Pullough on Friday night at 8pm.
