G.A.A CLUB NOTES

LOTTO

The numbers drawn in the Lotto draw which took place on Monday 13 February were 06 08 15 20. There was no Jackpot winner of €12,200 and No Match 3 Winners [Match 3 Prize Doubled to €400 on Monday 20 Feb]. Next week's draw will take place in High Chap, Geashill on Monday 27 Feb 2017.

DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Raheen Senior Footballers had to settle with a draw as they got the club's 2017 playing campaign under way against Ballycumber last Friday evening in Geashill on a scoreline of 1-07 apiece. Raheen made the brighter start as they opened the scoring with the first 2 points and by halftime led just by 0-04 to 0-03. Raheen still led by a point with just under 10 mins to go when a speculative shot by Ballycumber just dipped in under the crossbar to the top corner of the net. Raheen responded with a goal of their own with 5 mins to go when John Crombie's shot was blocked by the keeper and Jack Keogh scrambled in the rebound. Ballycumber equalised from a free a min later and this is how it remained at the end.

CONGRATULATIONS

Raheen GAA Club would like to Congratulate our former player David Crombie and his new bride Liz Sullivan who tied the knot last Saturday and wish them many happy years of wedded bliss together.

 

SYMPATHY

Raheen GAA Club would like to extend deepest sympathy to the family of the Late Dympna Caruthers, Geashill following their recent bereavement. RIP.

 

MEMBERSHIP

Members are asked to renew their membership as soon as possible but all membership must be paid by the end of February 2017. Subscriptions are Playing Members €30, Students €20 & Non Playing Members €20 & OAP's: €15. Payments can be given to Membership Officers Paddy Bracken or Padraig Direen. U15 FOOTBALL CROSS COUNTY LEINSTER LEAGUE

After getting off to a winning start in their opening round of the U15 Football Cross County Leinster League Na Fianna U15 Footballers will be looking to make it 2 wins out of 2 against another Meath side in the form of Navan O'Mahony's this Saturday (25 Feb) @ 2:30pm at home in Geashill. All Support would be appreciated.

PLAYER PATWAY WORKSHOP

The Na Fianna Player Pathway Workshop for ALL Na Fianna Coaches from Under 6 to Under 12 will take place on THIS Wednesday night (22 Feb) in Geashill commencing at 8pm
