Leinster Senior Club Semi Final:

Rhode Senior Footballers have reached their fifth Senior Leinster Club final after beating Sean O'Mahony's of Louth in Drogheda on Sunday afternoon last with the final score reading Rhode 0-12 Sean O'Mahony's 1-05. It was a tough physical game right to the final whistle but Rhode seemed to be always in control and they now go forward with the aim collecting their first Leinster Title in two weeks time. 

Team: Ken Garry; Eoin Rigney, Shane Sullivan, James McPadden; Ciarán Heavey, Brian Darby(1pt), Niall Darby; Alan McNamee, Conor McNamee; Stephen Hannon, Ruairi McNamee (1pt), Paul McPadden (2pts); Pauric Sullivan, Darren Garry, Niall McNamee (8pts).  Subs: Glen O'Connell for Stephen Hannon , Dylan Kavanagh for P Sullivan, Garrett McNamee for Ciaran Heavey ,Eoghan Byrne for Paul McPadden .

Rhode now play St. Vincent's of Dublin in the Leinster Senior Club Football Final on  Sunday the 11th Of December at 2pm in O'Moore Park Portlaoise.

Team Meal:

A Big Thank You to Colette, Niall and Staff Of O'tooles Bar and Lounge the wonderful meal served to the team and management on Sunday evening last it was a top class meal. A big thank you to the ladies who helped serve the food it was very much appreciated by the team.

Congratulations:

Massive Congratulations to our own Niall McNamee on been named 2016 Offaly Senior Footballer of the year. Niall will pick up his fifth Offaly Senior Footballer of the year award at the  Bridge House Offaly GAA Awards night on January 13th 2017 in the Bridge House Hotel Tullamore. 

Lotto

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 21st of November for a Jackpot of €15,000.  The numbers drawn were 2 9 19 28.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Doyles for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €100 each

Lucky Dip Monday 4th December 

 

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online though our website.  The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example pay for seven draws receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on.  In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!!

 

 

U,10s end of season challenge match:

 

Rhode U,10 boys travelled to Edenderry for an end of season challenge match which was a great game between the two sides. To celebrate a great year the u,10s  were treated to Supermacs after the game. A big thank you to Manager Pauric Murphy for his hard work over the year and also present with the team on the day always on hand to help out Oliver Kesh Murphy. 

 

 

Offaly U,13s 

 

Offaly U,13s Traveled to Rathcoffey  GAA grounds on Saturday to play the Lily Og's . A massive well done to the Rhode boys who togged out for Offaly they were Shane Murphy, Dylan Kilmurray, Jack Murphy, Cian Murphy, Sean Choudary and Cian Conroy. It turned out an even better day for Dylan Kilmurray as he received player of the match   for his performance.
