Raheen dominated the possession from start to finish but could not convert their dominance early on into scores as by midway through the first half the sides were level at 2 points each. Then in the 18th min Raheen raised their first green flag to break Walsh Island's resistance as Brian Crombie dispossessed his marker in midfield before running into the square where he laid off to Dylan Hyland to tap it into the net. Raheen added 3 more points before goal no 2 arrive on 28 mins as John Crombie took possession in his own half then passed to Brian Crombie in the clear outside the 21 who made no mistake to blast it to the net. Another point followed to give Raheen a healthy lead of 2-06 to 0-02 at the break. Any hope of a comeback were quashed inside the first 10 mins of the second half as Raheen hit over 5 points in a row before Walsh Island got in to score 1-01 but this was wiped out on 15 mins with Raheen's 3rd goal as Dylan Hyland managed to catch a great ball on the endline before turning and shooting to the net for his second of the game.
