Wexford 1-11

Offaly will face neighbours Laois for a place in the Leinster MFC final next month after easing past Wexford's challenge in the last of the quarter-finals at O'Connor Park this afternoon.

Wins over Wicklow and Longford in the losers' section since their first round defeat to Dublin have clearly stood to the Faithful County who dominated throughout. Wexford, whose only outing in the championship before today was a farcical 17-21 to 0-1 victory over Kilkenny, were level twice in the early stages, but Padraig Murray's charges then took control with scores from Shane O'Brien, Conor Lynam, Michael Mooney and Shane Molloy to lead by 0-11 to 0-3 at half-time.

The visitors got to within four points, 1-5 to 0-12, after Jamie Meyler's goal early in the second half, but the result never looked in any doubt.
