Kilkenny minor manager Pat Hoban admits his charges are fully focused on defeating Offaly in the Leinster MHC on Saturday afternoon.

The Cats will be favourites to see off the challenge of Offaly at Nowlan Park, but Hoban stressed to the Kilkenny People that they will be taking nothing for granted.

"At the end of the day we are going out to try and win a championship match," said Hoban. "There will be pride as ever involved in playing for Kilkenny and our focus will be absolute in trying to beat Offaly.

"There is plenty of motivation to do well any time you put on the county jersey, and these players are very motivated."

He added: "The sole aim is to get to the semi-final on May 14th. We will give Offaly the full respect they deserve."
