U,13 Intercounty League

Congratulations to Rhode U,13 boys on beating Tubberclair of Westmeath  in the u,13 Intercounty league on Saturday morning last at home in Rhode GAA Field. 

Cumann Na MBunscol Final

Very best of Luck to Rhode School Boys who will play Bracknagh  in the Cumann Na MBunscol final on Wednesday next in St. Brigids GAA Field (croghan) 3.30pm. All support would be greatly appreciated .

Senior and u,21 County Football 1975 Championship  winning  Teams Reunion 

There will be a reunion of the Rhode Senior and u,21s Championship winning teams of 1975 in Doyles Lounge Rhode on the 14th November 2015 next commencing at 9.00pm. there will be light refreshments served on the night with music coming from Declan feery. This special reunion promises to be a night of Nostalgia for all recalling the historic events. All are welcome to attend.

Rhode GAA Club AGM

Provisional date for the Clubs AGM  is Friday the 4th of December in Rhode GAA Hall. All members will receive notice of the AGM in coming weeks.

Offaly GAA Convention

The Offaly GAA Convention will take place in O'Connor Park Meeting room Tullamore on Tuesday the 8th of December 2015. Convention delegates will be elected at the Clubs AGM.

Lotto

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 27th of October for a Jackpot of €15,000.  The numbers drawn were 1 18 21 29.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Killeen's for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €200

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online though our website.  The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example pay for seven draws receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on.  In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!!

Leinster Senior Club Hurling:

Very best of Luck to Coolderry Senior Hurlers who will play Cuala Of Dublin in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship Quarter-Final on Sunday next in O'Connor Park Tullamore at 2.pm.

Leinster Junior Club Football:

The best of luck also to Cappincur who play Curraha of Meath  in the Leinster Junior Club championship semi-final in O'Connor Park on Saturday next at 2.00pm.

Leinster JHC B special Championship Clara 0-10 Wolf tones 1.08

Commiserations to Clara on been beating in the Leinster Junior Special hurling in Clara Sunday last by Wolfe tones on a score line of  0-10 to 1.08 .

Leinster Intermediate Football Club Championship Ballycumber  1-15 Castledermot 2-15

Hard luck to Ballycumber who were beaten by Castledermot of Kildare in Newbridge on Sunday last by close a margin 2-15 to 1-15.

Get well

Get well wishes are extended to all of the people of the parish who are ill or hospitalised at the moment .

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to the Farrell family of Edenderry and of Newtown Rhode at the death of Donal in England last week and whose remains will be interred next week. The deceased was the Brother of Peadar Farrell (Nevada signs) Rhode May He Rest In Peace.
