Junior B Hurling Championship
Our Junior B's received a walkover from Seir Kieran on Friday night last which means we are guaranteed a quarter final spot. Details of that quarter final have yet to be released.
Junior A Hurling Championship
The Junior A hurlers lost out to Kinnitty in the playoff for the two remaining quarter final places. We lost out by 1-19 to 1-16 in a very entertaining game. Kinnitty made the quickest start by scoring a few points early to lead. The Gaels fought back and points from Shane Dolan and Peter Berry kept us within reach. We went into half time 0-10 to 0-9 down without playing well. As the second half began Kinnitty were quickest out of the blocks again scoring 3 points without reply. We then replied getting a point back and from there both sides started to trade points. A Kinnitty goal was a blow to The Gaels charges as it put Kinnitty ahead by 7 going into the last 10 minutes. We battled back well thanks to a point from Kevin Kinahan and a well taken goal from John Paul Casey to leave 3 points in it. Unfortunately that's the way it finished and we now face Tullamore for the last remaining quarter final place.
Fixtures
Division 2 Hurling League Semi Final
Clodiagh Gaels vs Coolderry in Rath on Friday 31st July at 7pm. All support is very welcome as The Gaels attempt to make the step to a first final for the club.
Junior A Hurling Championship Playoff
Clodiagh Gaels vs Tullamore in O'Connor Park, Tullamore on Tuesday 4th August at 7pm. Please get out to support the team in this vital game as they look to book their place in the quarter final with a win.
Auction
Clodiagh Gaels are holding a Monster Auction on the August Bank Holiday Monday in the Macra Hall Killeigh. Viewing of items start at 9am while the auction itself starts at 11am. Clear the date in your diaries and start rooting out items that can be donated. It promises to be a great day with some great bargains on offer!

Official Clodiagh Gaels GAA Club polo shirts are now available to purchase. These are limited edition when they are gone they are gone first come first served cost €40. Please contact Mark Shiel or any committee member to place an order or order through the club Facebook page by private message. These have proven popular and we are down to the last few shirts, available sizes are medium (large fit), small and 13-14 so get yours now, great way to show your support at matches.
