Lilywhites not in new territory - Ryan

Jason Ryan points out that going into the Qualifiers on the back of a humbling defeat is nothing new for Kildare.

The Lilywhites will travel to Tullamore to face Offaly on Saturday with Sunday's thumping at the hands of Dublin still fresh in their minds. "Going through the Qualifiers is not a new experience," Ryan notes in The Irish Daily Star. "Kildare in 2013 had a far more experienced team out and they lost by 16 points.

"It's not a savage new experience for Kildare. It's something we've to get on with. We're playing against our neighbours Offaly in the next game and they had a fantastic Division Four season.

"They had a tough game against Longford but they regrouped well. Getting over Waterford will have them in a positive frame of mind and they'll be very motivated for this one.

"This is a game that I imagine Pat Flanagan and a lot of the Offaly guys will imagine we are wounded and instead of being wounded and looking for a fight they'll be hoping that we're wounded and that we'll be limping and won't perform."
