LOTTO
The numbers drawn in the Lotto draw which took place on Monday 15 June 2015 were 06 08 20 21. There was No Jackpot Winner of €10,200 and 3 Match 3 Winners [ Archie Moore C/O JFP; Michael Martin C/O High Chap; Brid Hinch C/O Brid Hinch] [€70 Each] . Next week's draw will take place in Maunsell's, Tullamore on Monday 29 June 2015.
DIV 3 FOOTBALL LEAGUE QUARTER FINAL
The league campaign for Raheen Junior Footballers came to an end last Tueday week when they were beaten by Clonbullogue in the Div 3 Quarter Final in Ballinagar on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-08. This game saw Raheen's second side up against Clonbullogue's first side. Raheen made a dream start to the game as they opened the scoring with a goal inside the first minute when Sean McFadden took a pass on the edge of the square and drove through before burying the ball in the net and he added a point a few mins later all before Clonbullogue got off the mark with 2 pointed frees just before the 10th min. Raheen responded with their own pointed free. Thereafter for the remainder of the half Raheen had a number of good goal scoring chances but could not add to their tally and Clonbullogue slowly clawed their way into it with 4 points in a row to take the lead just in the final min which they held at the break 0-06 to 1-02. Raheen drew level with the first point of the second half. Clonbullogue then added 3 points in a row before Raheen were awarded a penalty in the 8th min when Conor McNally was brought down and the same player stepped up to take it but his shot was saved and cleared down field for Clonbullogue to put over another free. Then over the next 10 mins Raheen came right back with 4 points in a row to draw level including a great 50m free from keeper Mark Byrne but just as they did Clonbullogue then hit 3 points to retake the lead and they clinched it with their goal with 5 mins left. Raheen did score the final point but unfortunately could not get any closer.
