Colm Cooper received a typically witty response from golfer Shane Lowry when he tweeted about The Players Championship yesterday.

Gooch told his twitter followers that he "would do anything for a tee shot at the 17th hole" in Sawgrass. Players debutant Lowry tweeted the Kerry star back to tell him he would have fared better than him after he found water short of the green at the 17th to take a double bogey. The Offaly man ended the day one over par 73.
