U16 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Na Fianna U16 Footballers had the toughest possible opening rd of the Championship as they faced the favourites to win it out St Broughans last Monday week in Geashill and unfortunately they could not cause an upset as St Broughans claimed a comfortable win on a scoreline of 4-14 to 0-06. Then came the turning point of the game when Na Fianna centre back Brian Keogh was black carded and from the resultant free St Broughans got in to score the first goal which saw them lead at the break 1-07 to 0-04.
