MINOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Na Fianna Minor Footballers suffered defeat as they opened their 2015 playing campaign against the reigning Minor Championship holders Ferbane / Belmont in their re-arranged League Rd 1 encounter last Wednesday evening in Geashill on a scorelien of 3-12 to 2-07. Na Fianna got off to the perfect start as they opened their scoring with 2 goals inside 4 mins, the first a goalmouth scramble struck to the net by Ian Buckley, the second a 45 sent in by Colin Keogh and punched first time top the net by Conor Langton. F/B who had already a point on the board responded with their first goal. Both sides then added 2 points apiece before F/B got in to score 2 goals in the last 5 mins of the half to go in front and lead at the break 3-03 to 2-04. F/B who now had the breeze in their favour in the second half took full advantage as they added 9 points to Na Fianna's 5 to go on a claim the win.

U14 FOOTBALL FEILE LEAGUE
Na Fianna U14 Footballers made it 3 wins out of 3 in the League with another comprehensive rout of neighbours St Vincents in Ballinagar last Thursday evening on a scoreline of 8-13 to 2-06 which secures their place in the Feile Blitz Semi Finals in 2 weeks time with a game to spare. St Vincents opened the scoring with 2 points inside the first minute but then Na Fianna got going scoring 5 goals along with 7 points in the first half with the goals finished by James Bryan, Ross Plunkett, Lee Mulpeter (2) and Jacob Beatty as St Vincents just kept in touch with a further 2-01 and so at the break Na Fianna led 5-07 to 2-03. There would be no let up in the second half as Na Fianna increased their tally with a further 3-06 to just 3 points from St Vincents with the Na Fianna goals finished by Jacob Beatty, Lee Mulpeter and Ryan Strong.
