Rhode GAA Notes

The best of luck to the Rhode Senior footballers and their management team who plays St. Pats of Louth in the first round of Leinster Senior Club Championship on Sunday in O'Connor Park at 2.30pm.

 

Congratulations and many years of health, wealth and happiness to Rhode and Offaly senior footballer Brian Darby who has been an excellent player for both Rhode and Offaly over the past number of years who got married on Thursday to the lovely Paula Gordan from Aughava Mohill Co. Leitrim.  They are wished all the best from all at Rhode GAA over the many years ahead.  The reception was held in the Lough Rynn Castle in Leitrim and they are on honeymooning in Dubai.

 

Well done to the Rhode Ladies Minor team and management team who defeated Clara in the Minor League Final in Durrow on Saturday.

 

Tickets are on sale for the GAA National Draw and have available from any member of the committee or shops in the village and are priced at €10 each.  All funds raised are kept by Rhode GAA.  The draw takes place on Friday 27th of February.  There are 15 super all of which are posted on the Rhode GAA website and they will be reposted every few weeks.

 

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto for the week ending 13th of October for a Jackpot of €15,000.  The numbers drawn were 15 16 18 22   The club like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Killeen's for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The lotto draw next week will be in Doyle's.  The following matched three numbers and received €40 each

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online though our website.  The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example pay for seven draws receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on.  In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!!

 

Get well wishes is extended to all the people of the Parish who are ill or hospitalised at the moment especially to Liam Swaine, Brendan O'Toole and Clair Quinn from all at Rhode GAA Club.
