HURLING TEAM BEATEN IN Q/F
Our DERMOT HALL sponsored Junior Hurling went down to a strong Ballinamere team on Sunday morning last in a well-prepared Killeigh pitch.  A bizarre decision by the referee in the opening minutes saw David Hanlon send to the line for a straight red, despite protesting his innocence the ref was not for changing his mind.   Thereafter despite battling hard the Reds were fighting an uphill battle.

From Derek Egan in goal who pulled off some fine saves and tried hard with quick puck-outs throughout; to a defence that worked hard in difficult conditions Edenderry tried to keep the Ballinamere men at bay.  The scores were not forthcoming at our end as a two man all Kelly full forward line struggled against the extra man.

It's a pity this team came unstuck in this game as they had the potential to go further after some great results in the group stages.

The club & management would like to thank all the players for their efforts this year.

U14 FOOTBALL TABLE TOPPERS
The EDEN CLAIMS Sponsored U14 Football team had a very comprehensive win over St. Vincents on Friday last.  The lads didn't perform to their potential in the first half but blitzed the Daingean Parish side in the second half to run out winners on a score line of 7-15 to 0-09.

They now face League Champions Ferbane/Belmont in the Q/F on Monday 22 Sept under lights in Ballinamere.

U10 FOOTBALL BLITZ
Our super U10's played in an excellent Blitz in Ballyfore Saturday last. Thanks to Willie, Matt, Martin & Gordon and all the parents for preparing them so well.  The lads played some excellent football against Ferbane, St. Broughan's and others.  Thanks to Ballyfore for the use of the grounds.
