Joe Errity has been ratified as Offaly minor hurling manager for another year.

The former Birr and Offaly star succeeded John Leahy in the role last January, but saw his team knocked out of the Leinster MHC by Wexford. However, Offaly chairman Padraig Boland confirmed at last night's well-attended Offaly Hurling Forum in Birr that the minor management will be unchanged for the coming season.

Errity enjoyed a glittering career, during which he won two All-Ireland senior (1994 and '98) and minor medals (1986 and '87). The former full back also garnered All-Ireland club honours with Birr.

Errity's former county and club-mate Brian Whelahan has yet to be reappointed as senior hurling manager.
