MINOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Na Fianna Minor Footballers battled back well to salvage another draw in the Championship against neighbours St Vincents last Tuesday week in Geashill on a scoreline of 1-12 apiece making it 2 draws out of 2 so far for Na Fianna and in doing so maintaining their unbeaten start to the Championship. In the first half it was St Vincents who had the better chances but by half time St Vincents were leading by just 1 point 0-08 to 0-07. Then in the second half St Vincents began to pull clear as they managed to open up a 5 point lead after 10 mins but Na Fianna were not giving up and they slowly began to claw their way back into it and were helped in no small part by a goal from Kevin Kinahan with around 10 mins to go but had to wait until the final min to draw level with the equalising point.

The second half belonged to Na Fianna as they clicked into gear adding a further 1-10 to St Rynaghs 1-01 who also had to play the final 10 mins with 14 players after their goalkeeper was dismissed with a straight red card for a punch.
