Daingean travelled to Vicarstown last Friday evening to take on Laois intermediate side, Annanough in a challenge match. Daingean always looked to be in control of this match and their ability to take the goal chances when on offer will have been very pleasing to the management as they prepare for their next Championship outing in the coming weeks. Goalscorers on the day were Jamie Hayes, Conan Curley, Paul O'Rourke and Charlie Hayes, as Daingean ran out 13-point winners in the end.

Daingean's 2nd team made the short trip to Geashill on Saturday evening to take on Raheen, in what is likely to be their last outing prior to the Junior C championship Final. Meeting Raheen for the 2nd time in a week, Daingean put in a much-improved performance this time and should have gone in more than a point up at the interval. The concession of a couple of goals and a few missed chances at critical periods in the game eventually proved to be the deciding factor in the result. Despite goals of their own through Mark Reynolds and Jamie McCabe, it was Raheen who held on to in by a couple of points at the end of an entertaining contest.
