The importance of last weekend's win over Galway to Tipperary shouldn't be underestimated.

Not alone did they book their place in the next round of the qualifiers but their 3-25 to 4-13 victory ended a championship winless streak which stretched back 103 weeks.

Full-forward Seamus Callanan took the scoring plaudits for Eamon O'Shea's charges with a remarkable tally of 3-8.

The Drom-Inch clubman will look to add to his personal tally today against an Offaly team who many consider to be lambs to the slaughter.

Brian Whelahan's charges scraped over Antrim in round 1 of the qualifiers thanks to a 71st minute goal by Brian Carroll but, after the humiliation of their 5-32 to 1-18 at the hands of Kilkenny, a game against Tipperary is the last thing they need at this point in time.

Hopefully, the Faithful County can produce a display against the odds.
