Offaly strolled to a comprehensive Leinster MHC victory over Carlow.

The game was effectively over as contest at the halfway stage with the Faithful County holding a 1-13 to 0-3 lead.

Cillian Kiely top-scored for the winners with eight points (two from play) while Eoghan Cahill netted their goal towards the end of the first half.

Chris Nolan pulled a goal back for the Barrowsiders in the second half but they had left themselves with too big a mountain to climb.
