Brian Duignan, son of two-time All-Ireland winner Michael, has been handed his Offaly senior debut as new manager Michael Fennelly names his team for tomorrow's Kehoe Cup opener versus Kildare in Birr (throw-in 2pm).

A member of this year's county U20 side that defeated Dublin in the Leinster championship quarter-final at Parnell Park, Duignan is named at full forward for what will be busy Kilkenny man Fennelly's first game in charge of the Faithfuls.

On Sunday, Fennelly will captain Ballyhale Shamrocks in the Leinster club SHC final against St Mullin's at MW Hire O'Moore Park.

Regular goalkeeper Eoghan Cahill will line out at corner forward on his home turf at St Brendan's Park after playing outfield for his club Birr during their run to the county SHC final in October.
