Survey.

The survey forms have been delivered to all houses in the area and Ballycumber Action Group ask that the forms are filled in and are ready for collection this weekend. All forms will be returned to Offaly Local Development Company and will be the basis for the next Development Plan for the Ballycumber area.

Ladies Football.

Congratulations to Naomh Ciaran on their fantastic victory in the Ladies Football Championship semi final against Inch Rovers from Cork. The match which was played in Ferbane finished all square at full time at 1—9 each. The home side pulled away in injury time to win convincingly on a score of 3—15 to 1—11. Best of luck to all involved, especially Ballycumber ladies Roisin Ennis, Amy Gavin Mangan and Lorraine and Amanda Keena, in the All Ireland Final which will be played in Parnell Park against St Pauls from Antrim.

Dinner Dance in the Bridge House Hotel on Saturday 15th February 2020. The 1994 Intermediate Football Championship winning team will be Guests of Honour. The 1994 Minor Football team who played in the County Final against Rhode and the 2019 Division 5 winning team will also be guests of the Club.

Table Quiz.

The first in a series of table quizzes will be held in Stewarts on Friday 22nd November. The second quiz will be in Flynn’s of Grogan on Friday 13thDecember and on Saturday 28th December “ A Night at the Races” will be held in Gussies.  Entry to the quizzes and raffles is by purchasing a GAA National Club Draw 2020 ticket. The prizes included in the national draw are a Renault Clio, All Ireland Final packages and Travel and Shopping Vouchers.

Ballycumber Dance Classses

Learn how to Jive, Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Line dance. Dance Classes every Monday night from 8pm in Ballycumber Community Centre.  Beginners class 8 - 9, Improvers from 9 - 10 and dancing for all from 10 - 11pm.  Great exercise and good fun, no partners required. Slow Waltz classes from 7pm, contact Christopher on 0868474744 for more information.

History.

Ballycumber History Group are continuing to research the 80 men and women from the Ballycumber area who fought in World War 1. The group would appreciate any information on any of the men and women who answered the call and would love to meet family members.

Lotto.

The numbers drawn this week were 3,14,17,29. One jackpot winner, one match three winner.
