Offaly Senior Football Championship 

 

Rhode Senior footballers received their second defeat in this years championship group stages  loosing to Ferbane on a score-line of  1-09 to 0-8. Rhode controlled the ball for long periods of the game but could not hold out . Rhode led by 2 points at half-time 5-03. Despite the defeat our Senior footballers topped the group to claim a semi final spot which we await the winners of Cappincur V  Clara. A speedy recovery is wished to Dylan Kavanagh who is recovering at home from injury and  Paul McPadden who was badly injured following a double ankle break and is recuperating following surgery on Sunday.

U15 Football Championship 

Rhode U15 footballers play St.Broughans this Wednesday September 4th at 6:30pm in WalshIsland. 

 

 

Rhode Ladies football club 

 

Congratulations to Aine Glennon & Sophie Egan who represented Rhode ladies on the Offaly U12 team who won the Leinster Division 2 League. Well done Girls.  

 

Intermediate Ladies Football final 

The Very best of luck to Rhode Ladies Intermediate Footballers who play Clara in the County Final. 

 

Handball 

Massive Congratulations to Cathal McNamee & Declan Killmurray on winning the Junior C Leinster Doubles title in Fahy on Friday night last. 

 

Lotto 

 

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 26th of August for a Jackpot of €5,200.  The numbers drawn were 1 3 18 24.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Doyle’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €100 each.
