Rhode Junior Footballer's 

 

Rhode Junior A footballer's played out a draw with Doon in the championshipon Friday night last with the score board reading 2-13 to 1-16. It was a truly great game of football that was enjoyed by a big crowd in attendance . It was score for score and Rhode were unlucky not to hold on to win it.

Rhode U17 footballer's 

 

Rhode U17 footballers defeated Clara on Thursday evening last on a score-line of  0-12 to 1-06

Offaly Senior Footballer's 

 

Hard Luck to Offaly Senior footballers who were defeated by Meath on a score-line of  0-14 to 1-13. Offaly were really in hard luck not come away with a win and we can be hopeful for the qualifiers .

Rhode U'11s

Rhode U'11s footballer's took on Tullamore on Thursday evening last in the Go Games . Some great football was played by both teams, Well Done to both teams, 

 

 

Schools Skills Competition 

 

Congratulations to U13s player Gavin Murphy who represented his school Scoil Mhuire Naofa and club in the schools skills competition on Wednesday last he came in a worthy second place . well done Gaviin. 

 

 

 

Offaly GAA Cul Camps

The annual Rhode GAA Cul Camp will commence in Fr Dowling Park on Monday 15th July to Friday 19th July. The camp will start each day at 10am and ends at 2.30pm. It is a wonderful experience for the 6 to 12 year old boys and girle s to play games meet new friends and to practice the skills of our native games. Rhode GAA Supporters 2nd Draw  will take place on Saturday  June 15th.

 

 

Under-age Registration 

Registration forms will be available for completion at under-age training  for any child not already registered for the coming year.

Lotto

 

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 7th of May for a Jackpot of €2,000.  The numbers drawn were 2 10 14 24.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to O’Toole’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €40 each.

Sympathy 

 

Deepest Sympathy is extended to the McGee Family Longdford on the Passing of Eugene.  Eugene will forever be remembered here in Offaly for the success he and his Offaly teams brought to the County most especially the the 1982 All Ireland title. . Eugrene's funeral mass took place in St.Mel's Cathedral Longford.  followed by burial to St.Colmicille cemetery.
