U'8s Trip to Croke Park 

What a wonderful experience for our U’8s who thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Croke Park. A massive thank you to their Coaches, Parents and Liam O’Reilly and go games Croke Park team for a very enjoyable day . An experience the kids will never forget. They gave excellent display of football skills against Carlow club Clonmore. We would like to take Adrian Foy of Clayton hotel Liffey valley who sponsored the food afterwards and Mattie Moore who sponsored the medals. The future is bright for these young footballers

Footballers Trip To London 

 

Rhode U'13 Footballers are travelling to London to take part in the Peter McGlynn Tournament on Friday May 3rd and returning Sunday May 5th. All flights are with Ryan Air and anyone travelling will be flying out from Dublin to Luton at 4pm . Return flight will be the 2:15pm  Luton to Dublin  . U13 Footballers Trip to London Easter Draw 

 

Rhode under-age  footballer's supporting our 13 Footballers  Trip to London on May Bank Holiday are holding an Easter Draw that will take place on Easter Saturday night. All U13 players will have cards, plenty of top prizes  Easter Hamper, Meal for 2, Bottle of Hennessy , Ogra Skincare Products , Shaz Hair Voucher. €2 per line.

Our Rhode boys Under 13's team hosted Clara in their second round match in the Offaly League campaign on Thursday evening 11th April. 

 

Clara scored a goal early in the game however Rhode took control from there and went in leading at half time on a scoreline of 5-13 to 1 goal. Both the defence and forward lines played an excellent style of football with midfield commanding the flow of the game. Again the strength came from the quality of the panel and Rhode continued to maintain control finishing on a scoreline of 9-22 to 3-04.

 

The panel on the day for Rhode were as follows: Kylan Owens, Leon Kilmurray, Paul Stynes, Odhran Briody, Sean Daly, Cameron Egan, Scott Hannon, Barry Dunne, Adam Kelleghan, Billy Quinn, Ryan Murphy, Gavin Murphy, Richie Glennon, Joshua Kelleghan, Owen Murphy,  Kyle Kilmurray, Jamie Glennon, Rhys Glennon, Luke Mahon, Tadhg Swaine, Jamie Ennis, Sean McGovern. The Management Team consists of Stephen Glennon, Brendan Glennon, Jimmy Hannon, Pauric Murphy and Derek Egan.  

 

Rhode GAA Club would like to thank Clara for a good game of football with respect shown by both teams at all times to each other and to the referee Martin Carty, whom we would like to thank for ensuring the game was played in an excellent manner.

 

Offaly GAA Easter Camp

Offaly GAA coaching and games are hosting a 2 day Easter camp for primary school boys and girls from ages 6-10 in Rhode GAA field Fr. Dowling Park on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th of April 10am to 1pm. 
It a chance for the kids to further their footballing skills with the top Offaly coaches over their holiday term. Full cost for the two days in €20-00 and the children are required to bring a packed Lunch,drink, gumshields towel and change of gear

Lotto 

 

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 8th of April for a Jackpot of €7,600. The numbers drawn were 4 10 19 24. The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Killeen’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation. The following matched three numbers and received €50 each.
