Live concert – April 12th

If you lived through the show band era then Edenderry GAA clubhouse is the place to be on April 12th 2019. One of Ireland’s best known entertainers Pascal Brennan will be live in concert along with his 3 piece band as he presents his ‘Tribute to Joe Dolan’. Pascal has played some of the biggest venues in Ireland including the INEC in Killarney and this event promises to be one of if not the biggest night of the year in the town of Edenderry. Tickets are now on sale for just €10 and available for collection at the Bingo every Sunday night or by contacting Angela Delaney (086-6061717) or David Farrell (086-8668646). It would make the perfect Mothers Day present!

 

U20 football championship:

St Patrick's will play St Broughan's in the semi final of the U20 championship at 8pm on Friday night in Croghan

Adult football leagues:

The Division one and Division three football leagues will commence on the weekend commencing April 12th.

Senior ladies v St Ryangh's:

The senior ladies had their first game of the year and recorded a 5-14 1-4 victory over St Rynagh's in Edenderry on Sunday afternoon.

Lee Pearson named Offaly minor captain

Congratulations to Edenderry footballer Lee Pearson who has been named Offaly U17 captain for 2019. Lee also played at half forward for the U20's in last Sunday's quarter final victory over Shannon Gaels.

It is the third year in a row an Edenderry man will captain Offaly minors following on from Rory Egan (2018) and Cian Farrell (2017).

New referees required in Offaly:

Offaly GAA are actively seeking new referees due to a current shortage in whistle blowers in the county. Every club has been asked to try identify one person who may wish to get involved for 2019 as a referee course will be held shortly.
