Leinster Club Championship 

 

Rhode Senior footballer's came to an end with a two point defeat to Longfords Mullinalaghta St.Columba's on a score-line of 1-06 to 0-07. In a game that Rhode played very well and game could have went our way but Mullinalaghta pulled it down to their level which could have been dealt by the referee and his officials but on the day a sending off and a number of injuries before and during the game Rhode fought with great spirit and played well and every player stood up and was counted. While player's and management  maybe disappointed they can hold their head up high with the wonderful years they are after having winning 3 Senior titles in a row and 4 league titles . Take time to relax and then get back on the road to retain the Dowling for 2019. You have done the club proud.

130th AGM

 

The 130th AGM of Rhode GAA Club will take place Thursday the 13th of December in Rhode GAA Hall at 8pm Sharp. All Members and Intending Members are requested to attend.

Please Note that members will receive official notice of our AGM by post in the coming days .

.The AGM is an important part of the Clubs calendar where all aspects of the clubs activities for 2018 will be up for discussion. All attending the meeting will be requested to sign on arrival with club registrar Ger Noonan and membership for 2019 will be taken on the night and we would request members to do so.

Get well: 

Get well wishes are extended to all of the people of the parish who are ill or hospitalised at the moment especially our own Club President Paddy McCormack. All In Rhode GAA club and indeed across Offaly and the country no doubt wish you the very best . 

 

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 5th of October for a Jackpot of €3,200.  The numbers drawn were 10 11 14 21.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Doyle’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €100 each.
