Kilcormac/Killoughey captain Conor Slevin insists that they won’t be resting on their laurels in Sunday’s County SHC final.

This is K/K’s fifth final in seven years as they prepare to take on Coolderry and Slevin has won four county titles during his nine years on the senior team.

Kilcormac/Killoughey are favourites to defeat Coolderry on Sunday afternoon, but Slevin is experienced enough not to take anything for granted.

And he knows that they are fortunate as a team that all these players came together at once to provide the success they have achieved in recent years.

“We were lucky, we came along, I’m nine years here at this stage. There is a lot of lads only after coming on. There is a good bunch of lads together. And we got to win a couple of county titles. They are never won easily and we know that,” Slevin told the Midland Tribune.

“We are after having some huge games in county finals and huge games in the build up to county finals like last weekend. We are just hoping that we can hopefully get over the line next weekend.”
