The Junior A Football Championship Final has been fixed for Sunday the 21st of October at 3pm in O’Connor Park vs Kilclonfert.

Senior B Hurling Championship Semi Final

Clodiagh Gaels 2-7 Rhode 0-10

The Gaels made it into their second Junior Football Championship Final in as many years as they saw off a dogged well drilled Rhode side. Rhode started the brightest putting two points on the board before goals from David Buckley and Sam Burns settled the Gaels. There was a lot of wayward shooting from our men in the first half and we went in two points up at half time when it could have been more. The second half was a massive battle with both teams not giving an inch. Rhode started quickest and put three points on the board to bring the Gaels lead back to two points. From there on it was tense and tight as no score was registered for the guts of fifteen minutes until Gus O’Brien came on and kicked a point to put us three points ahead only for Rhode to get a point back and make it a nervy last few minutes. Liam Langton put over the insurance score with three minutes to go but Rhode has one last opportunity as they torn forward but in the end their shot went to the left and wide. Gaels progress to another county final after an incredible battle. Credit must go to both teams on a tough and fair encounter.
