Galway Senior Hurlers Visit
Last Friday evening Tullamore GAA  had an amazing evening with Galway All Ireland winners Jason Flynn and David Glennon and the Liam McCarty Cup. They took a training session with our U9 hurlers and had a Q&A afterwards in the center, also a chance for photos with the hurlers and the cup. So many people to thank for this great evening, but have to mention, Ciaran Stewart from Supermac's for arranging it with Galway GAA, John O' Sullivan and Aoife Marron  for organising everything on the field and in the Center. The Galway hurlers for their time, anyone that helped out in any way and of course our U9 hurlers, and their parents and family for attending on the night.

U13 Footballers
Under 13 Football League
Tullamore had a convincing win over Na Fianna last Monday evening to qualify for the semi final of the league. The game as a one sided affair mostly, but Tullamore did not have all it their own way in the early stages as Na Fianna raced into an early lead scoring the first three points of the game. Tullamore soon found their rhythm however and before half time had amassed four goals and six points. The second half continued in the same vein as Tullamore continued to score frequently and only a late goal and three points gave Na Fianna some respite.
Football Championship
Tullamore and Shamrocks met in Round 3 of the Under 13 Championship in Mucklagh last Friday evening and Tullamore came out on top in a tightly contested game.Tullamore opened the scoring with a Niall Furlong free which was soon followed by a Sean Kavanagh goal. There were missed chances by both sides before Shamrocks got on the score sheet. Tullamores Luke Duffy and Jack Daly were on top in midfield and this led to scores coming from Jack Donegan, Killian Martin and Jack Bracken before Shamrocks hit back with a goal to leave little between the sides at half time. The second half began with Rio Osomuh replacing the injured Ryan Fenlon amd Tullamore were soon off the mark with scores from Adam Bahi and Killian Burke. Shamrocks picked off some good points themselves to stay in the hunt and when they scored a scrappy goal with six minutes left they were only four points adrift. Tullamore came back however and ran out winners by seven points.Strong defending in the closing stages helped to secure this victory and Jake Moore, Eoghan Spain, Ross Kelly and Davin Keegan can be happy with their performances. Jack Owens had a sound game in goal also as did Anthony Lawlor when introduced.
With two games left to play Tullamore need to up their performance to make sure of qualification for the knockout stages.
Under 13 B Football Championship
Tullamore suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of St. Broughans in their B Championship game in Bracknagh last Saturday morning. The young lads played with great determation and spirit but had to concede to a stronger St. Broughans team.
Playing against a very strong wind in the first half did not help Tullamore as St. Broughans piled on the pressure from the beginning scoring early and often. Tullamore did rally after the break when they got the wind behind them and scored some good points. Although St. Broughans were always in control Tullamore kept battling to the end. Tullamore panel for the three games were: Jack Owens, Eoghan Spain, Jake Moore ,Luke Boyle, Ryan Fenlon,  Killlian Martin, Davin Keegan,Ross Kelly, Jack Daly, Killian Burke, Adam Bahi, Niall Furlong, Jack Donegan, Sean Kavanagh, Rio Osumah, Jack Bracken, Sean Flynn, Conor Casey, Killian Dunne, Chris Leavy, Sam Merrick, Darragh Kenny, Anthony Lawlor, Adam Sweeney, Adam Maher.
