The players and mentors will travel to Slane, Co. Meath at the end of June. The quiz and Bar B Q will be family friendly and all support would be much appreciated. All offers of sponsorship would be accepted and acknowledged publicly.

Offaly Football.

Best of luck to Offaly Senior Footballers who face Antrim in O'Connor Park on Saturday at 6pm and to the new management team of Paul and John Rouse, Alan McNamee and Stephen Darby. All loyal and strong Offaly men who will leave no stone unturned in their efforts to improve Offaly football.

The relegation of Offaly Hurlers to the Joe McDonagh Cup for next year must be seen as an opportunity to regroup and start winning matches again.

Maynooth.

The management and players of our senior football team wish to thank Aidan Minnock who organised a rigorous training session in Maynooth GAA Club grounds on Sunday. The session was conducted by former Laois player Leo Turley. Afterwards, the group enjoyed a meal in the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth and made their way to Parnell Park to support Offaly hurlers in their game with Dublin. Unfortunately the result was disappointing.

K Buggy Coaches Division 2 Football League.

Ballycumber will play against Shamrocks in Ballycumber on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm.

K Buggy Coaches Division 5 Football League.

Ballycumber will travel to Bracknagh to face the home side on Friday evening at 7.30pm.

Rosemount Invitation.

The Club have received an invitation from Rosemount GAA Club for members of our 1968 Senior Football Championship winning team to join members of the Rosemount 1969 Westmeath Junior Champions for a Social Get together in The Stile Bar in Rosemount on Saturday next 9th June from 9pm. The teams played many tournament and challenge matches against each other in the 1960's and 70's.

Hopefully some of the men will be able to travel to renew old acquaintances.

This is a very good idea from Rosemount GAA Club and one which could be replicated many times over.

Mini Marathon.

Congratulations to Liz Egan who completed the VHI Womens Mini  Marathon in Dublin on Sunday. Liz trained hard for the marathon and raised badly needed funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
