Kilcormac/Killoughey captain Peter Healion is facing a race against time to be fit for next Sunday's Leinster club SHC final against Cuala.

The full forward was forced to retire with an ankle injury in the 18th minute of last Sunday;s emphatic semi-final win over Mount Leinster Rangers, and while fears that he may have broken it have been allayed, he remains a major doubt for the O'Moore Park decider.

With Cillian Kiely ruled out through suspension after being sent off last Sunday, the Offaly kingpins can ill-afford to be without Healion against the reigning Leinster and All-Ireland champions.
