Division 1 League Champions !!

 

Massive Congratulations to Rhode Senior Footballers and management on retaining the Casey Cup named after Rhode and Offaly Legends Mick and Paddy Casey beating Ferbane 1-16 to 1-08 

 

Rhode got off to a slow start with Ferbane going 3 points to no score but following a small wrangle it lifted Rhode and they drove to go 10 points to 0-4 points up at half-time. A further  sporting battle continued but Ferbane had no match for a hungry Rhode with the final score reading 1-16 to 1-08. 

 

A wonderful way to finish off a wonderful year retaining both the Dowling and Casey Cups !! 

 

Rhode GAA Club would like to Thank Paschal and his management team for their excellent work over the past two years. Paschal has giving massive dedication to the club as a player winning 7 Senior Championships and Team manager in which he guided Rhode to success  winning back to back  Senior County Championships  and Division 1 League Titles in 2016 & 2017. 

 

We wish Paschal all the very best in his new role as a coach with Tipperary Senior Footballers. 

 

Rod Og Minor Club Awards Night

Rhode Minor club  Underage awards night for all Our Underage Teams will take place on Friday 24th of  November at 7pm in Rhode GAA Hall . It promises to be a great a great evening to celebrate all their hard work during the year and also the wonderful achievements of both the Boys and Girls Parish School teams winning their respective Cumann na mBunscol Championships .  

 

 

 

129th AGM

 

The 129th AGM of Rhode GAA Club will take place Friday the 1st of December in Rhode GAA Hall at 8pm Sharp. All Members and Intending Members are requested to attend.

 

All Motions and Nominations must be submitted in writing (email if possible) and will be accepted up to and including Tuesday 21st November 2017.

 

.The AGM is an important part of the Clubs calendar where all aspects of the clubs activities for 2017 will be up for discussion. All attending the meeting will be requested to sign on arrival with club registrar Ger Noonan and membership for 2018 will be taken on the night and we would request members to do so.

 

 

 

Rhode GAA Christmas Draw 2017 

 

We are delighted to announce we will be holding a Christmas Draw which will be held on Monday 18th of December in Otooles Bar and Lounge .

Lotto

 

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 6th of November for a Jackpot of €15,000.  The numbers drawn were 2 3 6 15.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to O'Toole's for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €35 each.

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online through our website.  The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example, pay for seven draws, receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on.  In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!!
