Oram club notes

September 26, 2017

U12s: Pride of place this week goes to our u12s who bridged a 14 year gap by winning the U12 Division 3 title defeating Donaghmoyne in the final. A brilliant start inspired by Dillion Watters gave Oram a foothold in the game Donaghmoyne fought back to draw in the closing stages but we battled to the end and ran out deserving eight point winners. On the day there was enough " stars to fill a galaxy" the groundwork for the victory was done over a six year period of nursery and winter programs intense coaching, recruitment and reviews all came together to bring underage silverware back to the club. Well done to all concerned especially Declan, Austy and Ann Marie for there dedication and endless hours of time spent coaching the team. Thanks to Raymond Watters for sponsoring the meal a great evening celebration was held in the club when parents team and club members came together to celebrate a great victory.

Dr Ward Cup: Two valuable league points obtained in threemilehouse last Saturday night when we recovered from a six point deficit at half time to run out deserving two point winners over Seans who were previously unbeaten. The result keeps our top 4 hopes alive with three fixtures remaining next up Eire Og on 7th October. Speedy recovery to Daniel Forde and Seans player Paddy Kierans who both recieved injuries.

U12 Finals: we hosted Blayney V Donaghmoyne last Sunday and host Doohamlet v Aughnamullen on Sauturday.
