Doohamlet club notes

May 24, 2017

Seniors:  Our Senior team travel to Aughnamullen on Friday evening to play the locals in the Intermediate league.

Platinum Tanks RFL:  Doohamlet  1-10   Drumhowan  0-13

There was never much between these two sides on Sunday last as Doohamlet and Drumhowan served up an entertaining contest at O'Neill Park.  Doohamlet scored an early goal and this separated the sides throughout but a late point from the visitors ensured the league points were shared.

Feile '17:  Great excitement is building around the club and village as our U14's their mentors, families and indeed the wider community of Doohamlet will welcome and host Dicksboro GAA Club Kilkenny in the upcoming John West Féile Peil na nÓg from June 23rd - 25th.

Our juvenile are currently holding a fund raising draw to raise funds for this weekend.   Please support.

Race Night:  With just under two weeks to go to our Race Night there is still time to  buy a horse or jockey for this event.  Please contact any committee member or player.

Congrats:  Huge congrats to Hugh McGinn who made his Ulster Championship debut with Monaghan Minors last weekend and helped them to victory over Fermanagh.  We wish Hugh well this weekend when they travel to Breiffni Park to play Cavan on Sunday evening.  Also well done to Colin Walshe who led Monaghan to victory over the same opposition as Monaghan Seniors made a winning start in the Championship.

Bereavement:  Doohamlet GFC sends its condolences to the family and friends of the late Jim Brennan Cleananor.  Jim was a former President of our Club and a true GAA gael..
