Corduff club notes

Club Lotto:

This week's Club Lotto draw was held in Boylan's, Carrickmacross on Monday night last. 

The numbers drawn were 05, 07, 22 & 27. There was no winner of our Jackpot of €2,100. The five Lucky Dip winners of €20 were: Peadar Clinton, James Ward, Colin McKeown, Irene Gavaghan & Fidelma Finnegan.

Next week's draw will be held in The Mountain Dew, Corduff on Sunday night at 9pm, where the Jackpot will be €2,200. Thank you for your continued support.

Annual Lotto Tickets are available to purchase which guarantee entry into each Club Lotto draw for 12 months. For more information, contact our Lotto co-ordinator John Finlass on (087) 334 9853 or any member of our Lotto Committee.

Intermediate Team:

The Intermediate Team are back in action on Friday night with Round 6 of the League taking the team to Páirc Grattan, Inniskeen, to face the hosts. Throw-in is at 8pm. All support welcome.

Reserve Team:

The Reserve Team play Inniskeen in the semi-final of the Reserve Championship on Wednesday 31st May in Corduff.

Minor Team:

The Minor competition is now on a break ahead of the State Examinations.

Inter-County Teams:

Monaghan began their 2017 Ulster Championship campaign on Saturday evening last with a 1-20 to 1-11 win over Fermanagh in St. Tiernach's Park, Clones. They now progress to the Quarter-Final of the Ulster Championship where they will play Cavan on Sunday 11th June in Kingspan Breffni Park at 2pm.

Tickets for the game may be purchased through the club via our Club Secretary, Colm Marron. Ticket Prices will increase on Match-Day.

Monaghan's Minor side kicked off proceedings on Saturday evening last with a 1-17 to 2-07 win over Fermanagh. They now play Cavan this Sunday evening in Kingspan Breffni Park with throw-in at 7:00pm. Please note that the game is not played as a Double-Header with the Senior game, as the Minor Championship takes a break for the State Examinations.

Monaghan's hurlers bowed out of the Nicky Rackard Cup on Saturday evening last with a 6-17 to 1-12 defeat to Derry.

Congratulations:

Congratulations to Declan & Aine Larkin on the birth of their baby girl last week.

Condolences:

The club wishes to extend its deepest condolences to the McEneaney Family, Corcreagh, on the recent passing of Pete McEneaney, R.I.P. Pete was a fervent supporter of the club over the years, and his attendance graced games right up until his untimely passing. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Ladies

Fundraising Barbecue:

It's BBQ season and the only place to be this Saturday evening the 27th May is at the Corduff Ladies Steak BBQ, which will be held in The Marquee at Corduff/Raferagh Community Centre, with first steaks served at 8pm.

This promises to be the BBQ of the season & with tickets at €20 each, it's too good to miss. Good food, music and craic are guaranteed with music on the night by the hugely popular "Temptations". Tickets for the event are available from players and Committee members. See you there!

As always, your continued support is greatly appreciated by the Committee, with all monies raised going directly to the development of the ladies club, benefiting all members from the youngest member to the most senior member.

Juveniles

Under 6, 8, 10:

Training as usual on Saturday mornings in the field from 10am to 11:15am. New members welcome.

Under 12

Our U12s play Tyholland at home in Round 2 on Saturday May 27th. Throw-in time is 12pm.

Under 14

Our U14s continued their good league form with a Round 6 win against Sean McDermotts on Saturday May 20th. The final round will be played away to Eire Og on Tuesday May 30th at 7.30pm.

Buncrana Cup

Monaghan's U16 Development Squad recorded 2 wins from 2, against Derry and Armagh, in the group stage of this year's Buncrana Cup to secure a place in the semi-final. The semi-final will be played in Donegal on Saturday, August 12th. Corduff are represented on the squad by Jordan McGarrell, who is also vice-captain.
