FIXTURES.

The semifinals of the Universal Graphics sponsored Junior football championship take centre stage this coming weekend, Blackhill taking on Toome in Oram on Saturday evening at 5.00PM while on Sunday Sean McDermotts will do battle with Clones in Scotstown at 4.00PM, to decide who will contest the 2016 Junior football championship final. The big question really is though can Blackhill book their place in the final for the 4th year in a row and there is still a fair degree of debate as to whether they can take this year's title to end their disappointment of the last 3 years. Also this weekend there is the final of the reserve football league division 1B when Donaghmoyne take on Aughnamullen in Inniskeen tomorrow evening, Friday, September 23rd at 8.00PM.

LEAGUES.

As well as that championship action there is also a full round of matches in the senior and intermediate football leagues on Sunday.

SFL.

In the senior football league, all games at 12.30pm, with the exception of Doohamlet's meeting with Clontibret in O'Neill Park, Doohamlet, that one at 12 noon. In the other games Carrickmacross are at home to Scotstown, Monaghan Harps are away at Truagh, Castleblayney travel to Latton and Ballybay play hosts to Magheracloone.

IFL.

In the intermediate football league, all games at 12:30 PM, Killanny are at home against Emyvale, Donaghmoyne are away at Cremartin, Rockcorry take on Inniskeen in Rockcorry, a potential pairing for the final of the intermediate football championship, Currin are away at Corduff and Aughnamullen have home advantage against Tyholland.

UNIVERSAL GRAPHICS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINALS.

There is little room for error, in fact there is no wriggle room left, as the last 4 teams standing in the Junior football championship do battle this weekend to decide who will contest the 2016 Junior football championship final. After a series of matches that produced a few thrills, a few spills and some fairly mundane fare, Blackhill, Clones, Sean McDermotts and Toome, are through to the penultimate stage and yet for 2 of them disappointment awaits following this weekend's semi finals, the 1st of which is being played on Saturday evening between Blackhill and Toome in Oram and the 2nd between Clones and Sean McDermotts in Scotstown on Sunday afternoon.
